Where does the imperialist hostility to the DPRK come from? It’s the same hostility that the slave owners had for the slaves who resisted them. It’s the same hostility of the bosses toward the workers when they demand a union. It’s the use of slander, lies and character assassination to turn the public against those that the ruling class wants to destroy.

It’s particularly galling to them that the Workers’ Party of Korea and the Supreme People’s Assembly continue to choose descendents of Kim Il Sung to represent the state in the highest capacity.

Why are they elected to these positions? I can give you one reason. I think this is how the Korean revolutionaries tell all the forces of reaction, from the U.S. to the right-wingers who run the state in South Korea on behalf of imperialism, that the DPRK is not going to depart from its revolutionary traditions; that it’s not going to bow down before the public opinion that’s been created by foreign imperialists; that it remains true to the ideals that so many generations of Koreans have fought, died and sacrificed for.
